Philosophy...

Instead of the more traditional non-profit model, Beau Soleil has decided to be “for-profit”, with profit sharing
for Haitians who are involved in maintaining, growing, and bringing the produce and goods to market.

None of the head directors/ founders of Beau Soleil Haiti or Art & Design Business Alliance draw a salary, but instead contribute their time &
personal money. All money goes towards the salaries of the Haitian's working on the land and within the programs,
or goes into further developing the programs and buying goods.

The produce is divided among members of the Beau Soleil Communauté who then take the goods to market, and retain a percentage of the profit.
The remaining monies are invested in additional seeds, crops, and developing projects.

Alongside the agriculture projects, the individuals and families living at Beau Soleil, most of which lost their houses in the earthquake of 2010, are
part of the “Beau Soleil Communauté” which provides shelter, food, therapy services, life skills training, parenting classes, STD prevention and
services to help the overall well being of the Beau Soleil Communauté members
.
Beau Soleil Ferme & Nutrition Program (Farm & Agriculture)

The emphasis of Beau Soleil: A year round selection of organic products including corn, oranges, bananas, plantains, eggs, honey, flowers, and a
wide array of produce.

The produce is divided among members of the Beau Soleil Communauté who then take the goods to market, and retain a percentage of the profit.
The remaining monies are invested in additional seeds and crops, and growing the projects.
Beau Soleil Communauté Gathering

When: Each Saturday from approximately 10:00am-4:00pm

Focus: The Beau Soleil Communauté members take a break and receive therapy services from Mrs. Nikaise as well as participate in special classes
and art projects, play soccer, and receive guidance from guest speakers, therapists and various professionals and volunteers.

Goal: To provide therapy services & personal guidance to the people living on the land, and/ or affiliated with the agricultural and related projects
of Beau Soleil.

The primary focus is on fears and emotional trauma caused by the earthquake, as well as marital and relationship counseling, pregnancy prevention,
parenting guidance, and issues related to hygiene, health, and well being.
Beau Soleil Entraînement Entreprenant (Entrepreneurial Training)

(Art & Design Business Alliance Class)

The Beau Soleil model is developed with the intention of allowing Haitian men, women, and young adults develop themselves personally and
financially, and eventually have the resources, knowledge, and ability to venture out on their own with their own business.
